Who can join

Open to Ghanaians and Ghanaian affiliates by birth, marriage or citizenship. There is no minimum age to join, RSVP or register. You must be 18 or older to post in the forums. Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian present at soccer games.

Ghana Collab does not run background checks and does not store criminal records.

Events and taking part

Our events are organized by volunteers from the community. Please look after yourself and the people around you, follow the organizers' instructions and let a team member know if you need help. If your plans change, cancel your RSVP so someone on the waitlist can take your place.

Soccer events have their own waiver. It appears when you join a soccer event and asks players to acknowledge the physical risks, play responsibly and follow safety instructions from the organizers.

Privacy and information sharing

Your information is protected and not shared with anyone outside Ghana Collab administration, apart from the choices you make in the member directory and the service providers described below.

We use email for account access and communications; profile fields for community participation; RSVPs and check-in records for event attendance; polls for community decisions; and forum posts, replies, friend requests and friendships for member interactions. Optional phone sign-in, when enabled, uses a verified phone number. Notification subscriptions and delivery records support event updates.

Members can opt into the member directory, where other signed-in members can see shared profile details such as display name and city. Forum contributions are visible to authorized community members, and friend requests and friendships are visible to their participants. Organizers can access attendance information needed to run events. Individual poll choices remain private to the voter; administration sees aggregates.

Service providers that host the site, such as Supabase and Cloudflare, process data on our behalf. Authentication and notification providers may also process contact and delivery information for those services. When automated moderation is switched on, forum text is sent to OpenAI for safety screening without account identifiers, so please avoid posting personal information.

To ask about your information, correct it or have it deleted, message Ghana Collab on Instagram (@ghana_collab) or Facebook. We keep your information for as long as you have an account and delete it when you ask us to, unless we need to keep a record for safety.

We store a one-time forum age confirmation. Soccer signups record whether a player is under 18 and, when applicable, the parent or guardian's full name and confirmation they will be present. The player and authorized event staff can access these details. We do not collect a date of birth or identity document for these rules.

Social media embeds

Instagram grid images are served by Behold when this page feature is viewed. Facebook, TikTok and optional Instagram embeds connect to their platforms only after you choose Load posts. Those third parties may receive your IP address and set cookies once posts are loaded. External post links open the provider directly.
